Scream 7 Trailer: Neve Campbell Returns as Sidney Prescott to Battle Ghostface

Horror fans, get ready to scream again — Neve Campbell is officially back as Sidney Prescott in the chilling first trailer for Scream 7. The trailer teases a brutal new chapter in the iconic slasher saga, with Ghostface returning deadlier — and more personal — than ever before.
A Legacy Reborn
Paramount’s Scream 7 is the seventh addition to the horror franchise that covered a shocking story line with several killings, ridiculously sharp knives, and overpriced horror compliance. The film was, however, not without its troubles, and the whole journey to its release was overshadowed by big Hollywood strikes, changes in the script, and cast members coming and going.
Melissa Barrera, who was playing Sam Carpenter in the last two installments, was out of the picture after her public comments on the Israel-Hamas conflict sparked a discussion on social media. Jenna Ortega, whose character was Tara, had to give up her role due to a clash with her Netflix Wednesday series schedule.
To make things even worse, Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon exited the project in late 2023, with Scream creator Kevin Williamson taking over the directing duties—a move that has thrilled old-school fans who are just waiting for the franchise to return to its roots.
The Return of Sidney Prescott
Despite the turbulence, the trailer confirms what fans have been waiting for: Neve Campbell’s return as the fearless survivor Sidney Prescott. The footage hints that Sidney is once again being hunted — this time by a Ghostface who knows her every move.
Alongside Campbell, Courteney Cox reprises her role as Gale Weathers, and several familiar faces are back, including David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley, who are all set to make shocking appearances as their deceased characters from earlier films.
New Blood Joins the Fray
The sequel also introduces a wave of new cast members, including Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos, and Ethan Embry.
Release Date
Scream 7 is set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026, promising a high-stakes conclusion to one of horror’s most beloved sagas.
“This time, it’s not just about survival — it’s about ending the nightmare once and for all.”
